Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Neil Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kofi Amankwah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kofi Amankwah will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neil Drake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kofi Amankwah! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amankwah gets the takedown into side control. Amankwah tries to move into full mount but can't pass Drake's legs. Drake is not content to let Amankwah control the position. Drake gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Drake has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Drake wants to get back to full guard. Amankwah wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drake keeps working. Drake tries to roll over but Amankwah keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drake trying to hold on to Amankwah's head to control him but Amankwah postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drake is pressing down on Amankwah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Drake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Drake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Amankwah manages to get himself to full guard.
Drake is looking to work some ground and pound but Amankwah has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drake trying to control the position from guard on top but Amankwah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drake postures up.
Drake wants to control from the top but Amankwah keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Drake tries to free his leg and advance position but Amankwah is retaining full guard. Drake sitting in guard here, content to control. Drake advances position into side control! Amankwah tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Drake wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Drake tries to move into full mount but can't pass Amankwah's legs. Drake has knee on belly and moves into mount. Drake avoids the attempt from Amankwah to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Drake takes Amankwah's back. Drake sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Amankwah taps out!
