Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Huntt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Manuel Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Huntt!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huntt swinging wildly here.
Huntt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Solomon shoots in but no luck this time.

Huntt looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Huntt wants to pass the guard but Solomon is keeping the position.
Huntt wants to control from the top but Solomon keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Huntt might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Solomon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Huntt stands and throws Solomon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Huntt wants to stand but Solomon is controlling his arm.
Huntt is looking to take a break and control but Solomon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Solomon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Solomon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Huntt has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Huntt lands with some strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huntt trying to control but Solomon is having none of it.
Huntt controlling the position easily from mount.
Huntt wants to control the action but instead Solomon gets a body lock and reverses into Huntt's guard! Nice work!
Solomon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Huntt's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huntt tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Solomon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Huntt doesn't manage to clinch there - Solomon circles away.

Huntt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Huntt looking to stall.
Huntt is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.

Solomon with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Solomon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Huntt to keep the fight standing.

Huntt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Huntt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Solomon!
Solomon is breathing heavily.
Huntt in side control lands a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Huntt dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A slapping leg kick lands for Huntt.
Solomon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Huntt throws a series of punches but Solomon moves out of range.

Huntt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Huntt looking to sit in guard and control but Solomon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon wants to stand but Huntt is controlling his posture from full guard.

Huntt has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Solomon stands and steps away. Huntt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Huntt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Solomon's guard.
Huntt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Huntt wants to control from the top but Solomon keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Solomon has a closed guard, preventing Huntt from standing up.
Mark Huntt has got the better of the ground game so far.
Huntt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Huntt works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huntt trying to control from half guard but Solomon is working away.
Huntt tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Huntt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Solomon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Huntt throws a nice inside leg kick.

Solomon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.


Solomon is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Huntt slips nicely into half guard.
Oh Solomon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Huntt stands up and beckons Solomon to join him on the feet.
Huntt cracks Solomon's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Solomon slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Huntt can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mark Huntt!
