Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samson Savea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster has chosen If you want blood - AC/DC as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Foster!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savea gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Foster is trying to maintain a safe position but Savea gets an underhook and turns Foster into the cage.
Foster presses Savea against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Foster is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Savea is keeping busy.
Foster tries to work over Savea's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A bit of stalling here from Foster.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Foster has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Savea's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Foster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Savea has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Foster has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Savea tries to pull guard but Foster holds him up against the cage and eventually Savea drops back down to his feet.
Savea jumps guard but Foster stands there with Savea around his waist. Savea gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Foster has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Savea avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Foster is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Foster thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Foster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Savea does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Savea is controlling Foster's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Savea has one foot on Foster's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Savea closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Foster did well to prevent Savea getting side control.

Savea is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Savea connects with a nice short shot to Foster's temple.

Savea is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Savea stands up and beckons Foster to join him on the feet.
Savea shoots in but Foster avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Foster swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Foster tries a head kick but it misses.
Savea is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Savea is struggling to control the position.
Savea is trying to pull guard but Foster turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Savea jumps guard but Foster stands there with Savea around his waist. Savea gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Foster is fighting off a takedown attempt but Savea is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Foster to the mat. Foster regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Savea pushes down on Foster's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Foster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Savea takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Savea will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Savea thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Foster's head.
Savea content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Foster scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Savea manages to mount him!

The referee warns Foster that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Savea is working for a guillotine from mount but Foster frees his head quite easily.
Foster really wants to buck Savea off and get back to his feet.
Savea breaks from Foster's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Savea postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Foster looks a forlorn figure.

Savea wants to free his trapped foot but Foster is holding on for dear life with his legs.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
