Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Errol Del Frances (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Errol Del Frances has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Errol Del Frances! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Day! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Frances has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Day finds it's way round the side to connect with Del Frances's head. Day will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Del Frances uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Day. Day throws a shot from downtown. Del Frances moves away and avoids it. Day checks the leg kick. Del Frances buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A low kick from Day misses and Del Frances counters with a low kick, right behind Day 's knee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Del Frances connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Del Frances moves out of range of the body kick. A swing and a miss from Day. Day misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Del Frances.
That's one minute gone in the round. Del Frances throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Del Frances avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Day checks a leg kick. Day swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Day misses with a body shot.
Day throws an off balance right hand
and Del Frances counters with a thumping low kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Del Frances.
Del Frances gets caught napping as Day dives in and scores a takedown. Del Frances manages to retain guard. Day trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day passes into half guard. Del Frances is trying to escape back to his feet but Day uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Day controls the position. Day has hold of Del Frances's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Del Frances tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Day cranks the arm and Del Frances screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Del Frances, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Nick Day! An out of breath Nick Day thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
