16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorge Washengtoneo Bandairrezz! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kato throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Jorge Washengtoneo Bandairrezz has been cut. Washengtoneo Bandairrezz wants to clinch. Washengtoneo Bandairrezz needs to keep his hands up - Kato had a free shot at his head there. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Washengtoneo Bandairrezz is defended easily by Kato. Washengtoneo Bandairrezz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kato is able to avoid easily. Washengtoneo Bandairrezz tries to clinch there but Kato circles away.
Kato circles away from the clinch attempt and Kato counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Washengtoneo Bandairrezz thinking. Kato rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Washengtoneo Bandairrezz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Washengtoneo Bandairrezz trying to control from Kato's half guard. Kato has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Kato seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kato looking to sweep here. No luck so far. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Washengtoneo Bandairrezz works his way back into a safe position though. Kato is trying to keep Washengtoneo Bandairrezz in close.
