Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Dennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Dundee! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot lands for Dennis. Dundee tries to clinch but Dennis moves out of range. Dundee wants to clinch but Dennis slips to the side and Dennis counters with a left to the body. Dundee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A shot to the body from Dundee misses and Dennis counters with a stiff right hand. Dennis lands a nice looking body shot.
Dennis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dundee throws a head kick but Dennis moves out of range.
Dundee shoots in looking for a takedown. Dennis tries to sprawl out of it but Dundee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Dennis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A punch lands to the side of Dundee 's head but he takes it in his stride. Dennis swats away the attempt to clinch by Dundee. Dennis throws a hook but Dundee blocks it. Dundee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dundee wants to clinch up but Dennis keeps it at a distance. Dundee seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Dennis shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Dundee is backing up but Dennis catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Dundee covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Dennis Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Dennis! Daniel Dennis tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
