Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Artak Jedigarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jedigarian comes to the cage accompanied by Some Georgian song. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Artak Jedigarian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Boyd! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyd tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Jedigarian counter with a right hand. Boyd misses with a wild combination.
Boyd throws a head kick that misses. Boyd fails with a takedown attempt. Jedigarian connects with a looping right hand.
Boyd closes the distance looking to clinch so Jedigarian counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jedigarian throwing strikes from guard but Boyd blocks nicely. Jedigarian throws a big right hand that misses. Jedigarian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jedigarian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Boyd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jedigarian is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyd controls Jedigarian momentarily but Jedigarian frees himself. Jedigarian looking to pass the guard. Boyd lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Boyd wants to pass the guard but Jedigarian is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jedigarian wants to sweep here but Boyd controlling him for the moment. Jedigarian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jedigarian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boyd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jedigarian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boyd manages to get himself to full guard.
Jedigarian is pushing down on Boyd's leg trying to pass to half guard. Boyd is fighting to maintain full guard but Jedigarian has managed to sneak the leg through. Jedigarian content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jedigarian looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Jedigarian is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boyd is just riding it out for now. Jedigarian eventually gives up the hold. Jedigarian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyd tries to get to full guard but Jedigarian has control of the leg. Boyd is trying to maintain the position but Jedigarian is very close to passing his half guard. Boyd looks winded! Jedigarian is trying to work for a kimura but Boyd is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jedigarian looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jedigarian wants to work for an arm triangle but Boyd is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jedigarian is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boyd doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jedigarian. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jedigarian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Artak Jedigarian dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Boyd gets caught napping as Jedigarian dives in and scores a takedown. Boyd manages to retain guard. Jedigarian is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Boyd working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jedigarian. Jedigarian preventing the sweep. Boyd trying to control the position.
Jedigarian working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Boyd's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jedigarian connects with a couple of short punches.
Boyd is rocked!
It looks like Dave Boyd has been cut. Jedigarian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Boyd tries to land a sweep but no joy. Boyd is still in real trouble! Can Jedigarian finish him? Jedigarian drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boyd dives on top into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jedigarian has his feet on Boyd's thighs here. He's pushed Boyd off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Boyd screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
