Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robin Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Elasor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leon Elasor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robin Palmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leon Elasor! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elasor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Elasor fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Palmer tries to land a leg kick but Elasor saw it coming and moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Elasor. Those never looked like landing. Palmer closes the distance and clinches up with Elasor, looking for a takedown. Palmer pushes Elasor against the cage but Elasor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Elasor with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Palmer tries for a takedown but Elasor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Palmer closes the distance and pushes Elasor back into the cage. Palmer working hard to break the clinch. Elasor misses with a knee to the head. Palmer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Elasor pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robin Palmer. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmer is pushing Elasor up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Palmer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Elasor smiles and moves away.
Elasor gets tackled into the cage by Palmer. Palmer maintains the clinch. Palmer really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
That's one minute gone in the round. Elasor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Palmer takes a jab right on the kisser.
Palmer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Palmer really is a fat lump. Elasor throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Palmer. Palmer tries to clinch but Elasor moves away and Elasor makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Elasor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Palmer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Elasor defends well and Palmer ends up having to push Elasor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Palmer stalling the fight.
Palmer is looking to take this one to the mat. Elasor lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Elasor. Elasor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Palmer darts in looking for a takedown but Elasor gets double underhooks and turns Palmer into the cage. Palmer wants to break free but Elasor has control.
Elasor lands a right hand. Palmer is trying to stall.
Elasor's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Elasor scores with a nice hook to the head.
Palmer is rocked! A nice glancing elbow lands by Elasor. Oh Palmer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Robin Palmer has been cut. Elasor has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Palmer - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Elasor, and another! Palmer is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Leon Elasor!
