The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Pederson.
We've been hearing reports that Edgar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Pederson moves out of range of the body kick from Edgar.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Edgar connects with a nice short shot to Pederson's temple. Edgar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Edgar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pederson keeps working. Edgar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Edgar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
