Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Tono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jerry Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jerry Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Tono! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a leg kick but Tono sees it coming and moves out of range. Tono ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tono counters with a leg kick. Silva tries to clinch up. Silva is looking to slow Tono down with leg kicks. Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tono's calf. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tono fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it. Tono stuffs the takedown. Silva shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva with a poor takedown and Tono decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerry Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tono postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tono pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard. Silva is not content to let Tono control the position. Tono is working for a submission of some sort.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tono lands with a punch from half guard. Silva is looking for a sweep. Tono is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva gets full guard. Tono advances position into side control! Silva is trying to get back to half guard. Tono in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to buck Tono off but Tono is having none of it. Tono lands a decent elbow from side control. Silva is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tono connects with a decent elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silva is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Silva is rocked! Silva tries to buck Tono off but Tono is having none of it. Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Tono creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Tono has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tono in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Silva looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Tono turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeshi Tono!
