Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wolfram Stelzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stelzer comes to the cage accompanied by Satyricon - K.I.N.G.. Ross has chosen Neck of the Woods as his entrance music. Wolfram Stelzer has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Wolfram Stelzer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mike Ross! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross lets loose with a powerful body kick. Stelzer will feel that in the morning. Stelzer takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Ross's coach down at THC playhouse was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ross's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Ross lands a nice looking kick to the body. Stelzer takes a step back to recover. Ross cracks the inside of Stelzer's front leg. Ross throws a nice outside leg kick. Ross lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Wolfram Stelzer has been cut. Ross throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Stelzer has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ross. Stelzer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Stelzer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stelzer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ross paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ross thows a body kick. Stelzer tries to catch it but that hurt him. A decent looking body kick lands there for Ross. Ross walks into a straight right hand from Stelzer. Stelzer shoots in looking for a takedown. Ross tries to sprawl out of it but Stelzer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ross manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Ross. Ross tries to keep at a distance but Stelzer has taken the fight into the clinch. Ross lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stelzer backwards. Ross misses with a body punch.

Ross tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stelzer's elbow. Stelzer drags the fight down to the ground.
Stelzer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stelzer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stelzer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ross stacks Stelzer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ross!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stelzer takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ross cracks Stelzer with an elbow. That is naaassty. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ross wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stelzer keeps working. Stelzer trying his best to control but Ross has mounted him. Ross lands a big elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ross putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Ross scores with a couple of good head shots there.
We've been hearing good reports from Stelzer's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Ross lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross has hold of Stelzer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stelzer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Wolfram Stelzer's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ross cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stelzer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Stelzer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ross has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stelzer has managed to get both his arms back between Ross's legs - danger averted. Stelzer tries to free his leg and advance position but Ross is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross trying to keep a closed guard but Stelzer is proving a slippery customer.
Stelzer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ross manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stelzer has Ross in his guard.

Mike Ross dominated that round. The cut man is working on Wolfram Stelzer's cut. That's time! Stelzer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ross leaves Stelzer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ross shapes to counter with a head kick. Stelzer misses the jab. Stelzer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mike Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stelzer ducks under a wild hook from Ross. Ross swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Stelzer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Stelzer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A kick lands to the mid section there for Ross. A cross from Ross lands. Stelzer will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. A solid body kick from Ross. Stelzer slips under a jab from Ross. Some wild striking there from Stelzer.

Stelzer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ross slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Stelzer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A big right from Stelzer misses. Ross misses with a straight left. Stelzer takes one to the chin there. Ross wants to clinch. Ross misses the shot to the body. Stelzer looking to score a takedown here. Ross is defending well but Stelzer drives through and ends up in Ross's guard. Ross has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stelzer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ross looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ross looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ross!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ross is looking to take a break and control but Stelzer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Stelzer wants to control but Ross is having none of it. Mike Ross has got the better of the ground game so far. Ross lands with some strikes. Ross lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Stelzer slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Stelzer is staying active underneath Ross, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stelzer works his way to full guard. Good work. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ross slips nicely into half guard. Ross wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stelzer keeps working. Ross has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ross seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Stelzer is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stelzer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ross connects with a solid leg kick. Stelzer connects with a body shot. Stelzer tries to clinch but Ross moves out of range.

A nice leg kick lands there from Ross. Ross pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ross fakes the leg kick and cracks Stelzer in the body. Stelzer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ross counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ross feints and then cracks Stelzer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stelzer down. Stelzer looks to score with a jab to the body but Ross is just out of range. Ross is trying to counter with his kicks. Ross scores with a spinning back kick! Mike Ross seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ross fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stelzer, pushing him back against the cage. Stelzer blocks an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross digs a right hand underneath Stelzer's ribcage. Stelzer let out a lung full of air as it connected. Ross can't find room to land a body shot as Stelzer controls the action.
Ross throws a head punch that misses. Stelzer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Wolfram Stelzer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stelzer tries a body shot but Ross blocks it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ross stalling the fight.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Ross comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ross has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
