These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sandy England!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Caine!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caine closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into England's guard.
England bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Caine's guard.

England in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
England stays in close to Caine's body and controls the position.

Caine has his foot on England's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. England works his way back into a safe position though.
Caine controlling England's posture.
England throws an elbow that misses. Caine uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in England's guard. Nice move by Caine!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caine chips away with some ground and pound.
Caine stops England from standing up.
Caine slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's one minute gone in the round.
England is trying to improve his position.
Caine trying to control the position but England is working away.
Caine in side control lands a decent elbow.

Caine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by England, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Caine thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Caine in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.


England is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Caine cracks England with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Oh England is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Caine cracks England with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Caine immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! England is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Caine!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Caine!
