Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stirling Sanguin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rogers misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sanguin wants a takedown.
Rogers lands a knee to the body.

Rogers has Sanguin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Rogers pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sanguin tumbling to the mat - Rogers dives into Sanguin's guard.

Sanguin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rogers defends well.
Sanguin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rogers is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanguin's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanguin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sanguin looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Rogers is nestled in close to Sanguin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rogers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanguin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rogers scores with a couple of nice shots.

Rogers is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sanguin is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
