Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sick Puppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David has chosen PRINCE RAMA - RAGHUPATI as his entrance music. Larry David has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sick Puppy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sick Puppy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry David! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puppy ducks under a wild hook from David. David ducks down and throws a hook to the body. David keeps the fight on the outside. David dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Puppy. That did some damage! David fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Puppy. David closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A jab from David misses. David throws a combination that misses and Puppy counters with a lovely straight right hand! Puppy looks to score with a jab to the body but David is just out of range. David lands with a nice body kick. David throws the left hand but Puppy avoids the punch easily. It looked like Puppy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. David stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. An inside leg kick lands from David. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. David uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Puppy. Puppy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puppy looks to score with a jab to the body but David is just out of range. Puppy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. David misses with a double jab.
Puppy looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. David gets tackled into the cage by Puppy. Puppy maintains the clinch. Puppy wants to take the fight to the mat but David manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Puppy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by David after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sick Puppy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Puppy scores with a shoulder strike. Puppy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. David preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Puppy throws a big elbow that misses. Puppy throws a big elbow that misses. Puppy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. David avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Puppy prevents David from getting back to his feet. Puppy with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A slow jab from David misses its intended target. Puppy staying out of range there. Sick Puppy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puppy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Puppy goes for a double leg but David avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as David continues to drive forward. Puppy moves into the clinch. Puppy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Puppy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Puppy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Puppy wants to stand but David is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Puppy working for submissions but it's allowed David to get to half guard.
Puppy is pressing down on David's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puppy wants to control the position but David says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Puppy is looking to improve his position.

It looks like David is going to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Puppy wants to get back to his feet. Puppy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Puppy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Puppy tries to regain full guard. Instead though, David has advanced to mount. Uh oh. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Puppy is desperately trying to improve his position but David has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sick Puppy will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Puppy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. David looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Puppy in side control, throwing shots but David defends. David regains half guard, as Puppy was trying to land strikes. Puppy looks to land a strike but David avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Puppy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. David working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Puppy. Puppy pushing down on David's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Puppy looks to land a strike but David avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Puppy postures up and lands a big shot to David's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. David can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Puppy controls the pace. Puppy trying to control but David is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Puppy with a flurry of punches that miss. Puppy throws a strike but David rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Puppy is looking to sweep but instead, David has passed into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Puppy works his way to full guard. Good work. Puppy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think David should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Puppy has tightened it up now! David should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
