Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxim Taisumov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepherd comes to the cage accompanied by Alter Bridge - Addicted to pain . Taisumov has chosen eRa- Enae Volare Mezzo as his entrance music. Maxim Taisumov acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rufus Shepherd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maxim Taisumov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taisumov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Taisumov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shepherd.
Shepherd fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shepherd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Shepherd shoots in and bounces Taisumov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Shepherd controls from within his opponent's guard.
Shepherd stops Taisumov from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shepherd working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shepherd postures up in Taisumov's guard and throws a big left but Taisumov blocks it.
Shepherd won't allow Taisumov to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Taisumov leaves Shepherd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Taisumov throws a series of punches but Shepherd moves out of range.
Shepherd tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Taisumov counters with a two punch combo.
Shepherd is rocked!
Taisumov misses with the combination.
Oh Shepherd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shepherd tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Taisumov counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Shepherd falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Maxim Taisumov!
During a confident post fight interview, Maxim Taisumov thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Rufus Shepherd spoke after the fight, saying 'Unfortunately i lost but i will train a lot to win next fight for myself and you- my fans'.
