The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
De Silva comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as De Silva checks a leg kick.
Yamamoto throws a head kick but De Silva moves out of range.
De Silva wants to clinch.
Yamamoto rushes De Silva and presses him up against the cage.

De Silva creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Yamamoto's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Yamamoto drops to his knees and De Silva pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Junior De Silva was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
