Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bas Severn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiny McGee! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severn misses with a body shot.
McGee missing with a left hand there. Severn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. And Severn counters with a quick kick to the body but McGee blocks it. McGee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McGee smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. McGee swings widly with a right hand
and Severn finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Severn lands with an uppercut that bounces McGee off the cage and back into range. Severn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McGee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Severn takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Severn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Severn pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Severn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McGee throws out a counter right but Severn avoids it with no problem. Severn lands with a straight right. McGee didn't see that one coming. Severn looking to land some kicks to the body here.
McGee appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Severn looks to land a body kick but McGee moved away. A telegraphed right hand from McGee misses the target. Severn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Severn slips a jab from McGee. McGee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Severn throws out the jab. Severn throws the kick towards the body but McGee avoids it. McGee misses with a body punch
and Severn counters with a left to the body. McGee just misses with a punch to the body.
Severn appears to be looking for a big counter. McGee throws a shot from downtown. Severn moves away and avoids it. As McGee looks to move away, Severn throws a big counter combo bu McGee just gets out of the way. Severn swings away with a leg kick that misses. A nice leg kick lands there from Severn. Severn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A lazy body kick from Severn and McGee counters with a stiff right hand. Severn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McGee to score with a decent uppercut. McGee steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Severn. That one must have hurt. and McGee counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Severn! He's just covering up as McGee starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
