Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darius Kasparaitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kasparaitis comes to the cage accompanied by Gotta Get Away. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Koch!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasparaitis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Koch can't escape the position.
Koch is squirming around, avoiding Kasparaitis's attempts to control the action.
Kasparaitis throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Koch is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kasparaitis prevents Koch from improving his position.

Koch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kasparaitis manages to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kasparaitis, right into the meat.
Kasparaitis tests Koch's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Koch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kasparaitis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Koch's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Koch enables Kasparaitis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Koch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kasparaitis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kasparaitis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kasparaitis has managed to get both his arms back between Koch's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
