Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolf Kross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Kalandarishvili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bogdan Kalandarishvili !
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalandarishvili darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kross missing with punches from the bottom.

Kalandarishvili is working for a submission of some sort.

Kalandarishvili seems to be looking for submissions.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kalandarishvili is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kross defends it well.

Kalandarishvili is looking for a kimura but Kross is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kalandarishvili to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kross connects with a nice short shot to Kalandarishvili 's temple.

Kalandarishvili is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kross pulls his head out easily.
Kross looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kalandarishvili with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kross working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kross lands a nice short elbow.

Kross seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kross thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kalandarishvili 's head.

Kross has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kalandarishvili has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kalandarishvili had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kross is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kalandarishvili Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kross's back instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kalandarishvili is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kross is defending well though. Kalandarishvili let's go of the attempt for now.
Kalandarishvili has the hooks in. Kross is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kalandarishvili feints and as Kross raises his hands in defense, Kalandarishvili changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kalandarishvili drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kalandarishvili jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kalandarishvili is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That was slick! Kross rolls with it to try and escape but Kalandarishvili cranks on the arm and Kross is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
