Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ugly Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buck looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kid moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Buck fails with a takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Buck looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Buck connects with a body shot that sends Kid's belly button to the back.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kid. Buck shrugs it off though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bone on bone clash there as Kid blocks the leg kick.
Buck fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ugly Kid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Buck.
Kid misses with a few strikes there.
Buck scores with a hook.
Buck throws a chopping leg kick but Kid manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kid appears to be looking for a big counter.

Buck looks to land a body kick but Kid moved away.
Buck fails in his attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kid is defended easily by Buck.
Kid lands with a kick to the temple. Buck shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Buck gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kid counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Buck!

Buck is rocked!

Kid stands up and beckons Buck to join him on the feet.
Kid fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kid scores with a takedown into Buck's guard.
Buck is still in real trouble! Can Kid finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Buck is trying to keep Kid in close.
Buck seems to have recovered his senses.

Kid stands up and waves to Buck to follow him.

Kid closes the distance and pushes Buck back into the cage.
Buck fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Buck tries to pull guard but Kid holds him up against the cage and eventually Buck drops back down to his feet.
Buck is trying to maintain a safe position but Kid gets an underhook and turns Buck into the cage.
Buck can't get the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kid tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kid jumps into guard, dragging Buck to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buck trying to control but Kid is working from the bottom.
Kid is striking but Buck is not phased and passes to half guard.
Buck is keen to just control but Kid is a slippery customer.
Buck thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Buck is pressing down on Kid's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kid is holding on for now.
Buck trying to control the action but Kid is working from the bottom.
Kid moves into full guard.
Buck preventing the sweep.
Kid is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ugly Kid dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Buck dives in and grabs Kid's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kid pushes down on Buck's head and hops out.
Kid will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Buck pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kid lands with a kick to the ribs.
Buck shoots for a double leg takedown but Kid sprawls well. He's pushed Buck's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Buck forces Kid back against the cage and clinches.
Kid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buck can do to turn this around?
Buck stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Kid breaks from the clinch.

Buck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kid's waist but Kid gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buck off to one side.
Ugly Kid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Buck.
Kid throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Buck counters with a three punch combo that has Kid backing up. Kid nods at Buck to acknowledge the strikes.
Buck is breathing heavily.
Kid throws the kick towards the body but Buck avoids it.
Kid slaps away a takedown attempt from Buck, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kid stalks Buck and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Buck's face. Buck staggers backwards, shaken.
Kid misses with a series of wild punches.
Buck tries to close the distance and clinch but Kid swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kid throws a big counter combination but Buck scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Buck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Buck.
Ugly Kid is winning the standup battle so far.
Kid steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Buck is out on his feet! Kid sets himself and nearly takes Buck's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
