Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares tries to clinch up.
Soares throws a right and a left that both miss.
Soares tries to close the distance and clinch but Chavez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Soares fails with an attempt to clinch.

Soares darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Chavez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Soares.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Soares is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chavez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Soares.
Soares tries to pass to full mount but Chavez defends it.

Chavez wants to get back to full guard.
Chavez desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Chavez has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Soares. Oh but Chavez has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Soares goes limp - he's gone! Chavez jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
