Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chocolate Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaheli Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonni has chosen Chica as his entrance music. Chocolate Al could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kaheli Sonni's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonni looks to land a right hand but Al moved out of range.
Sonni chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Al can pounce on him.
Sonni uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Al.
Sonni is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Al throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sonni sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sonni.
Al keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sonni shoots in for a takedown but Al shows good takedown defense.
Al dips to his left and cracks Sonni with an uppercut!
Al clinches.
Sonni is looking to break free of the clinch but Al has double underhooks.
Al misses with a short punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Al tries to throw a body punch but Sonni avoids it by throwing Al back against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sonni has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sonni wants to slow Al down by chopping away at his legs.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Al crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sonni - the referee stops the clock and Al gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sonni. Al manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Al lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Chocolate Al seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sonni dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Al. That did some damage!

Al throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sonni takes one to the chin there.

Al stuffs the takedown attempt from Sonni. Sonni gets slowly back to his feet.

Sonni looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Sonni doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Al throws out a leg kick but Sonni moves out of range and Al only half commits.

Al doesn't manage to clinch there - Sonni circles away.

Sonni throws a body punch but Al moves out of range.
Al slaps away a takedown attempt from Sonni, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sonni shoots in and drives through. Al sprawls well.
A little feinted left hand from Al on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

and Al counters by clinching up.
Sonni is trying to push Al away but Al has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Al is leaning against Sonni and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chocolate Al dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sonni shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sonni was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Chocolate Al is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kaheli Sonni has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sonni is looking to take a break and control but Al is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sonni goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Al has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sonni but great work by Al.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sonni.

A bone on bone clash there as Al blocks the leg kick.

Sonni's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Chocolate Al showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Al, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Chocolate Al was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
