Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nich DiM!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Nickles!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DiM throws a leg kick
and Nickles counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nickles swats away the attempt to clinch by DiM.
No luck with that takedown attempt from DiM.
Nickles keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nickles misses with a head kick.
DiM thows a leg kick but Nickles checks it
enabling Nickles to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DiM shoots in for a takedown but Nickles shows good takedown defense.

Nickles decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
DiM is trying to get back to full guard.
DiM gets full guard.

DiM is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nickles is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nickles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
DiM wants to sweep but no luck.
Nickles working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Nickles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nickles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nickles trying to control the position from guard on top but DiM is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
DiM wants to sweep here but Nickles controlling him for the moment.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nickles working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

DiM has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Nickles should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, DiM has tightened it up now! Nickles should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
