Vera throws a head kick that misses.
St Pierre shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vera's guard.
St Pierre will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vera wants to stand and escape but St Pierre is having none of it.
St Pierre sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vera wants to stand up but St Pierre is controlling him.
St Pierre slips nicely into half guard.
St Pierre winds up and cracks Vera with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
St Pierre looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
St Pierre has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

St Pierre passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vera!

Vera tries to buck St Pierre off so he can stand up but St Pierre has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Vera falls backwards, slamming St Pierre to the mat but St Pierre holds on tight! Vera is forced to tap and this one is all over!
