Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Zaha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaha comes into a darkened arena with his song building. RAWR kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Micheal Knight has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Micheal Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Marvin Zaha!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaha misses with a head kick.
Knight shoots in for a double leg but Zaha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And Zaha responds with a good body kick, but Knight manages to step out the way in time.
Zaha takes one to the side of the head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Zaha.
Zaha displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Knight.
Knight closes the distance and clinches up with Zaha, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes Zaha against the cage but Zaha circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Micheal Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zaha stuffs the takedown attempt from Knight. Knight gets slowly back to his feet.
Knight is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Knight changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Zaha fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Knight looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zaha keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Knight darts in looking for a takedown but Zaha gets double underhooks and turns Knight into the cage.
Zaha throws a head kick that misses.
Marvin Zaha is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Knight rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Zaha tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zaha lands a nice leg kick that just misses Knight's sensitive parts.
Knight looks for a takedown but Zaha sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knight.

Zaha pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Knight tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zaha sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Knight somewhat.
A bone on bone clash there as Knight blocks the leg kick.
Zaha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Knight counters with a two punch combo.
Zaha tries to land a leg kick but Knight saw it coming and moves away.
Zaha misses with a head kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Knight misses the target.
Knight doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zaha counters with a good low kick that Knight was not able to check.
Knight looks for a takedown but Zaha sprawls well.
Zaha manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Zaha manages to break the clinch.

Zaha rushes Knight and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Knight drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knight is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Zaha is defending well.
Zaha stops a takedown attempt from Knight.
Knight tries for a takedown but Zaha manages to get underhooks.

Zaha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knight takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Zaha lands a big head kick that sends Knight tumbling to the mat! Zaha takes a step backwards and waves Knight back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Micheal Knight has been cut.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Zaha stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zaha wants it to stay on the feet.
Knight shoots in and drives through. Zaha sprawls well.
Zaha feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Knight's calf.

Zaha drives through and clinches with Knight against the cage.

Zaha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knight throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zaha is looking for the big counter here.

Knight bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Zaha is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Zaha bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Knight steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Zaha. That one must have hurt.
Knight is breathing heavily.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Zaha. Knight shrugs it off though.
Zaha connects with a solid leg kick.
Knight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Knight gets tackled into the cage by Zaha. Zaha maintains the clinch.
Knight is trying to drag Zaha to the mat but Zaha just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Knight can't get the takedown.
Zaha is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Knight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zaha's waist but Zaha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knight off to one side.
Zaha connects with a high kick.

Zaha gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Knight is trying to drag Zaha to the mat but Zaha just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Zaha has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zaha manages to break the clinch.
Knight is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Knight is working for takedown but Zaha is calmly controlling the position for now.

Knight dives in and grabs Zaha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zaha pushes down on Knight's head and hops out.
A head kick from Zaha lands but Knight takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knight darts in looking for a takedown but Zaha gets double underhooks and turns Knight into the cage.

Zaha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Zaha prevents the takedown attempt.
Zaha gets underhooks to prevent Knight's takedown attempt.
Knight drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zaha gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Knight goes for a takedown attempt but Zaha pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Zaha! Knight is out on his feet! Zaha rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Knight is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Knight is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marvin Zaha!
