Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hizaoka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hizaoka moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Chikono wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hizaoka is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Chikono wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chikono is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hizaoka is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Chikono to the mat. Chikono regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Chikono stalks Hizaoka and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hizaoka's face. Hizaoka staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chikono lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chikono.

Hizaoka seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hizaoka in particular looking to stall.

Hizaoka goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Chikono turns into him and now he's in Hizaoka's guard.

Chikono drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chikono jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hizaoka has his foot on Chikono's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chikono works his way back into a safe position though.
