Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Mikkonen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikkonen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mikkonen fails to land the takedown.
Mikkonen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.
Bob White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timo Mikkonen.
White paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mikkonen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around White's waist but White gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mikkonen off to one side.
White lands with a right and another and another! Mikkonen is in big trouble! White lands again and this time it's lights out for Mikkonen! A quality knockout there for White.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bob White!
