Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Van Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Kazansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazansky has chosen Danger Zone as his entrance music. Van Henderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Van Henderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Kazansky! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazansky throws a shot to the body.
Kazansky takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Henderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kazansky looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee asks Henderson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Henderson prefers to stall for the moment though. Kazansky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Henderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Henderson decides to stand back up. Kazansky looks gassed! Kazansky wants to clinch. Henderson gets the takedown into side control. Henderson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kazansky to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Henderson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kazansky slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Henderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kazansky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Henderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kazansky is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazansky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kazansky preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kazansky wants to stand and escape but Henderson is having none of it. Henderson trying to control but Kazansky is working from the bottom. Henderson passes Kazansky's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Henderson wants to control but Kazansky is keeping him busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Henderson darts in and clinches Kazansky up against the cage. Henderson manages to break the clinch.
Kazansky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Henderson manages to avoid it. Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Henderson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kazansky utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kazansky wants to sweep here but Henderson controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson with a flurry of punches that miss. Kazansky tries to strike from the bottom.
Kazansky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Henderson is one step ahead there. Kazansky trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A nice inside leg kick there by Henderson. That's going to slow Kazansky down. Henderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kazansky throws Henderson to one side and escapes! Henderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kazansky throws out a loose jab but Henderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Henderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kazansky tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Henderson smiles and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kazansky's guard. Kazansky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kazansky stops Henderson from getting back to his feet.
Nice strikes from Kazansky there. Henderson is looking to escape. Kazansky thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Henderson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kazansky scores with a couple of nice shots. Kazansky throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kazansky is looking to take a break and control but Henderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kazansky wants to free his trapped foot but Henderson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Henderson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Henderson showed some decent athleticism there. Henderson trying to control from half guard but Kazansky is working away. Henderson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kazansky tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Kazansky looking for submissions off his back. Kazansky actively working from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kazansky makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Henderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kazansky, pushing him back against the cage. Kazansky is trying to break the clinch but Henderson has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Van Henderson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Henderson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kazansky is trying to get back to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kazansky swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Henderson counters with a one-two to the body. Henderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kazansky to the mat! Kazansky manages to get full guard. Henderson stands and throws Kazansky's legs to the side, diving into side control. Henderson blocks the strikes from Kazansky.

Henderson lands a big shot there that rocks Kazansky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Henderson landing punches. Kazansky in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Henderson wants to control the pace but Kazansky is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Van Henderson dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Kazansky tries to clinch and Henderson counters by moving into the clinch. Kazansky tries to break the clinch but Henderson is controlling the position. Henderson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kazansky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Henderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kazansky is fending him off so far but Henderson persists. Nope, Kazansky circles away and we're back to standing. Kazansky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Henderson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Henderson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kazansky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Henderson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Henderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kazansky pushes Henderson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kazansky missing with a left hand there. Henderson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Van Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Kazansky. The fight stays on the outside here - Kazansky looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kazansky. Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kazansky is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
And that's the end of the fight! Van Henderson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Henderson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
