Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Good (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Good has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Good!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Miller!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good fails with a takedown attempt.

Miller darts in and clinches Good up against the cage.

Miller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Good is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller wants to improve his position but Good is controlling well.

Miller wants to control but Good is keeping busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miller feints and as Good raises his hands in defense, Miller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Good is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Good is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Miller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Good working for a triangle but Miller defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Miller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Good is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Miller scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Miller is looking for a kimura but Good is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miller to get the leverage.
Good wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Miller wants to get back to his feet.
Good is positioning himself well to prevent Miller advancing to mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Miller darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Good trying to control from the bottom.
Good is pressing down on Miller's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Miller should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Good gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Miller is pulling down on Good's head. It's preventing any offense from Good, at least for the moment.

Good stops Miller from standing up.

Miller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Good is fighting to break Miller's control of his arms but Miller is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Good postures up.
Miller has Good pulled in close to control his posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Good shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily.
And Miller tries to counter it with a takedown but Good pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Good will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Good wants to sweep but Miller has passed to side control!
Good sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jake Miller has got the better of the ground game so far.

Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Miller is breathing heavily.

Miller controlling the pace.
Miller tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Good.
Good gets full guard.
Good bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Miller's guard.

Good throws a strike but Miller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Good controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself.

Miller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jake Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Miller slaps away a takedown attempt from Good, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Miller throws a right hand that Good ducks under and follows up with a left that Good also avoids with ease.

Good gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch.
Good has a couple of punches blocked by Miller.
Miller managing to block the knees to the body from Good.
Good misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Miller.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller wants to clinch up but Good keeps it at a distance.

Good jumps guard but Miller turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Good using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Good tries to break free but Miller pushes him back against the cage.
Good tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Good. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Good is being controlled here.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Good is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Good is looking to reverse the position.
Miller wants to control but Good is keeping him busy.
Miller in side control, just content to control the action for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Good manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Jake Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
