Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Meyer Lansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsu Masa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lansky comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold - Ted Nugent. Masa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Samurai Battle March. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meyer Lansky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Katsu Masa! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Chris Dean and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lansky misses with a hook. Lansky is looking to clinch. Masa is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Lansky doesn't succeed with the takedown and Masa counters with a takedown into side control. Lansky is looking to regain half guard here but Masa keeps moving and retains side control. Masa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lansky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lansky is trying to control Masa's posture but Masa avoids it. Masa is looking to take a break and control but Lansky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Masa tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lansky prevents Masa from improving position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lansky is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masa slows the pace down. Lansky is trying to get back to half guard. Masa just content to control the position. Lansky struggling a bit here. Masa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Masa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lansky looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Masa is fending him off so far but Lansky persists. Nope, Masa circles away and we're back to standing. Lansky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lansky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Masa defends well and Lansky ends up having to push Masa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meyer Lansky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masa rushes Lansky and presses him up against the cage. Lansky tries for a takedown. No joy.
Masa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lansky is defended easily by Masa. Masa steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lansky. Lansky looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nice takedown defense from Lansky. No joy for Masa on that attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lansky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Masa shoots in looking for a takedown. Lansky tries to sprawl out of it but Masa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lansky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lansky avoids the head kick by Masa.
Lansky fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lansky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Masa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Masa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A shot to the body from Lansky misses and Masa counters by clinching up. Masa breaks from the clinch.
Lansky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Masa gets the takedown into side control. Lansky is looking for a sweep. Lansky is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Masa off and has taken his back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lansky is hanging on to Masa's back as he tries to escape.
Masa is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lansky gets his way!
Masa is trying to defend against the choke here but Lansky has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Lansky Tightens the hold and Masa taps out furiously! Lansky displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Meyer Lansky! A relieved looking Meyer Lansky thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Katsu Masa was interviewed post fight and said 'Train harder!'.
