Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Koba Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ren Grusen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ren Grusen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Koba Boyka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ren Grusen!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grusen shoots for a takedown but Boyka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boyka closes the distance and clinches.
Grusen tries to pull guard but Boyka holds him up against the cage and eventually Grusen drops back down to his feet.
Boyka is struggling to control the position.
Boyka content to slow the pace in the clinch.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Boyka for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Grusen working hard to break the clinch.
Grusen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Boyka gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Koba Boyka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ren Grusen.
Boyka lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Grusen backwards.
Boyka lands a right hand that snaps the head of Grusen backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyka will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Grusen up against the cage.
Boyka pushes Grusen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyka working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Grusen misses with a punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Boyka - that landed with a thud.
Boyka scores with a hook to the body.
Grusen is trying to pull guard but Boyka turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Boyka.
Boyka stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Grusen is trying to stall.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Boyka.
Grusen jumps guard but Boyka stands there with Grusen around his waist. Grusen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Grusen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boyka walks away with a smile on his face. Grusen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Grusen misses with a takedown attempt
and Grusen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Boyka forces Grusen back against the cage and clinches.
Boyka lands a body punch in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grusen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grusen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Boyka lands a hook that snaps the head of Grusen backwards.
Boyka lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Grusen is rocked!
A short left from Boyka.
Grusen is still on wobbly legs! Can Boyka finish him?
Boyka scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Boyka gets through Grusen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Boyka stalls.
Boyka lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Boyka lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Grusen.
Nice body punch from Boyka.
Boyka lands a shoulder strike.
Boyka is pushing Grusen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Grusen takes a shot to the head.
Boyka creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Grusen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Grusen drops to his knees and Boyka pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Koba Boyka!
