Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clint Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pereira might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to K5 - Lovin' Feelin'. Bobby TupperII has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Clint Pereira's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clint Pereira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bobby TupperII!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pereira.
Pereira fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches TupperII on the side of the head.
TupperII dives in and grabs Pereira's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pereira pushes down on TupperII's head and hops out.
Pereira was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Pereira stuffs the takedown.
TupperII gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pereira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Bobby TupperII has been cut.
Clint Pereira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby TupperII.
Pereira keeps the fight on the outside.
TupperII moves out of range of the body kick.
TupperII shoots in looking for a takedown but Pereira manages to keep the fight standing, pushing TupperII's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
TupperII tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pereira sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten TupperII somewhat.

TupperII wants to take a breather but Pereira is having none of it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
TupperII is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pereira has managed to free his arm - good work.

Pereira creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through TupperII's defenses.
Pereira comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Pereira throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Pereira is pushing TupperII up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

TupperII tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pereira smiles and moves away.
TupperII tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pereira swivels and escapes.
TupperII lands with a nice combination. Pereira backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Clint Pereira will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pereira throws a right hand that TupperII ducks under and follows up with a left that TupperII also avoids with ease.
TupperII fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

TupperII darts in looking for a takedown but Pereira gets double underhooks and turns TupperII into the cage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pereira, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
