Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huey Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruiser Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruiser Barnes will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruiser Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Barnes trying to control the action but Randolph is working from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barnes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Randolph has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barnes but great work by Randolph.

Barnes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Randolph knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Barnes tries to move into full mount but can't pass Randolph's legs.
Randolph parries the strikes from Barnes easily there. Barnes is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Randolph to escape.

Barnes content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Barnes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Randolph tries to counter by clinching up but Barnes breaks away and moves out of range.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barnes can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barnes perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
It looks like Barnes is going to stand back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Barnes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bruiser Barnes has got the better of the ground game so far.
What's Randolph going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Randolph is trying to get back to half guard.
Barnes misses with the ground and pound.
Barnes moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Barnes throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Randolph works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Bruiser Barnes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Barnes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Barnes wants to stand up but Randolph is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barnes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Randolph sees it coming and defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Randolph makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Randolph.
Barnes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Barnes looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Randolph is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Randolph slaps away a takedown attempt from Barnes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Barnes. No joy for Randolph on that attempt.
As Randolph backs off Barnes throws a huge counter combo but Randolph manages to avoid it all.
Randolph tries a head kick but it misses.

Barnes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Randolph gets caught flat footed, as Barnes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Barnes throws a strike but Randolph rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Randolph stops Barnes from standing up.

Randolph got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barnes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Randolph has managed to get both his arms back between Barnes's legs - danger averted.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Randolph instigates a clinch.
Barnes looking to throw knees to the head but Randolph is blocking nicely.

Huey Randolph has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bruiser Barnes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Barnes moves into range and clinches up with Randolph.

Bruiser Barnes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Barnes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
