Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seymor Butts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyonjo Gua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Gua is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Butts is controlling him.
Butts throwing strikes from guard but Gua blocks nicely.
Gua is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Butts lands a couple of elbows.

Butts has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gua is proving hard to escape from.

Gua working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Butts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Butts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gua throws a series of punches but Butts moves out of range.

No joy there for Gua, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gua wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gua drops down looking for an ankle pick but Butts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Butts looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gua tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Butts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gua on the ground.
Butts is looking for a kimura but Gua is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Butts to get the leverage.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Butts in particular looking to stall.
Gua is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gua looks gassed!

Butts wants to stand up but Gua has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Gua tries to roll over but Butts keeps him under control.
Butts thows a huge punch but Gua dodges it nicely.
Butts decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Butts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gua clinches up against the cage.
Butts drags the fight down to the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Butts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gua can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gua passes into half guard.
Butts slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Butts throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gua stands and steps away. Butts gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Gua throws a series of punches but Butts moves out of range.
Butts moves in looking to clinch but Gua pushes him off.

Gua tries to bum rush Butts with a series of wild strikes but Butts uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Butts throws a leg kick which misses Gua's front leg but catches the back leg as Gua tries to avoid it.
Butts throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gua throws the kick towards the body but Butts avoids it.
Butts moves out of range of the leg kick from Gua.
Butts scores with a takedown into Gua's guard.
Gua wants to improve his position but instead Butts has moved into half guard.

Butts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gua is keeping the position for now.
Butts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Butts stays in close to Gua's body and controls the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Butts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gua moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gua darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Butts is rocked!
It looks like Seymor Butts has been cut.
Gua lands with a thumping leg kick.
Oh Butts is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Seymor Butts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Butts showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gua.
Gua misses with a combination
and Butts counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Butts.
Gua lands an elbow inside that Butts shrugs off.
Butts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gua just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gua can't break the clinch.
Butts seems to have got his legs back now.
Butts goes for a takedown attempt but Gua pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Butts feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Butts decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Butts takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Gua throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gua throws a leg kick which misses Butts's front leg but catches the back leg as Butts tries to avoid it.

Butts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gua throws a low kick, looking for Butts's leg but Butts calmly moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Butts.
Butts misses with a takedown attempt - Gua sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Butts's calf.
Gua rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Butts moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gua tries to clinch but Butts moves away
and Butts counters with a single leg into guard. Gua didn't expect that.
Gua is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Butts kicks off Gua and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Butts scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Gua is trying to improve his position.
Gua wants to control but Butts postures up.
Gua wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Butts has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Gua's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Gua is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Butts!
