Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Linwood Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruiser Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Linwood Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruiser Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders drops his hands momentarily and Barnes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Barnes looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Sanders!
Barnes wants to control but Sanders is keeping him busy.
Barnes wants to stand but Sanders has his arm trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barnes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sanders is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Barnes tries to stand but Sanders controls the position and pulls Barnes into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes tries to stand but Sanders is controlling from the bottom.
Barnes is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Barnes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sanders is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sanders has escaped and now he's on top!


Barnes is looking for a triangle but Sanders pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sanders wants to stand but Barnes is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sanders gets to his feet. Barnes looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Barnes has managed to clinch.

Sanders pulls guard successfully.
Barnes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Barnes wants to stand and escape but instead Sanders has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Barnes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanders is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanders won't allow Barnes to get back to his feet.
Sanders slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Barnes thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Barnes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sanders prevents Barnes from getting back to his feet.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Barnes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Barnes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barnes showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barnes wants to free his trapped foot but Sanders is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Barnes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sanders's half guard.
Sanders is looking for a sweep. Barnes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Barnes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Barnes seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Sanders decides to pull guard.

Barnes stopping the sweep attempt from Sanders.
Barnes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bruiser Barnes has got the better of the ground game so far.
Barnes looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sanders is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Barnes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sanders is not content to let Barnes control the position.
Barnes slows the pace down.

Sanders jumps guard.
Barnes scoring with some ground and pound.
Sanders looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barnes is one step ahead there.
Barnes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Barnes wants to control from the top but Sanders keeps moving.
Barnes with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sanders keeping full guard, as Barnes tries to pass.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Barnes instigates a clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Barnes manages to break the clinch.
Barnes slips under a jab.
Barnes drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sanders defends it well.

Sanders fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barnes to the ground. Sanders is now in Barnes's guard.
Sanders is in close to Barnes's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sanders throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sanders stands up over Barnes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sanders throws a strike but Barnes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Barnes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sanders is proving hard to escape from.
Barnes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Barnes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Barnes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Barnes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Barnes wants to stand up but Sanders is controlling the position.

Sanders gets back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruiser Barnes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Barnes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
