The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Khalid closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Freesley's guard.
Freesley is pulling down on Khalid's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khalid wants to control from the top but Freesley keeps moving.
Freesley seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Freesley has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Khalid doesn't defend quickly enough and Freesley has managed to lock this one up! Can Khalid escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Freesley on a fantastic submission victory.
