Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gumby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Lager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lager has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gumby Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lando Lager!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.
Lager looks gassed!
Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
Jones pulls guard successfully.
Lager decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones wants to control but Lager is keeping him busy.
Lager prevents Jones from moving into mount.
Lager tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lager's legs.
Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Lager doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lager's guard.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lager swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lager keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones passes into half guard.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Lager is defending well.
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lager knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jones is keen to just control but Lager is a slippery customer.
Lager wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lager actively working from the bottom here.
Lager looking for submissions off his back.
Lager tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lager paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones rushes Lager and presses him up against the cage.
Lager jumps guard but Jones stands there with Lager around his waist. Lager gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lager thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lager drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lager jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jones looking for a guillotine here but Lager defends easily.
Lager trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lager is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lager trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lager gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lager is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lager's back instead.
Jones wants to control the position but Lager frees himself and scrambles - Jones manages to regain control in side control.
Jones throwing shots but missing, from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gumby Jones dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jones clinches up against the cage.
Lager has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jones has picked Lager up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jones is working for a kimura but Lager is defending it quite comfortably.
Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Lager is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jones passes the guard and advances to mount!
Lager really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lager is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jones looking for a guillotine from mount but Lager is having none of it.
Lager is looking to get to half guard.
Jones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lager is trying to escape the mount.
Jones misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Jones stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Jones misses with a double jab.
A leg kick checked by Lager.
Lager misses with a takedown
and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lager won't be happy with that.
Lager is trying to improve his position.

Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lager has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jones working the ground and pound but Lager is defending the strikes.
Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lager is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jones in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Lager is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
