Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trip Kenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammy Kim has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Trip Kenzie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Trip Kenzie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Kim! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kenzie but Kenzie pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kenzie pushes Kim up against the cage in a clinch. Kenzie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice sprawl there from Kenzie as Kim shoots in. Kenzie throws a right and a left that both miss. Kenzie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kim, pushing him back against the cage. Kim has had enough of the clinch but Kenzie keeps him there for the moment. Kim tries to pull guard but Kenzie holds him up against the cage and eventually Kim drops back down to his feet.
Trip Kenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Kim. Kenzie keeps control of Kim as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kenzie lands with a light punch inside. Kim wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kim tries for a takedown but Kenzie manages to get underhooks.
Kenzie blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kenzie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kenzie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kim tries to clinch up but Kenzie circles away and keeps his distance. Trip Kenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kenzie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kim darts in trying to clinch and Kenzie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kim!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kim takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kenzie blocks Kim's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Kenzie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Kenzie trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim tries to hold on but Kenzie pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kim holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kenzie tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Kenzie lands a big shot there that rocks Kim but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Kenzie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kenzie throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kim because Kenzie loaded up on that one. Kenzie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kim has worked his arm free - good work by Kim!
Kenzie is breathing heavily. Kim tries to bench press Kenzie off him but Kenzie keeps the position. Kim defending against the ground and pound. Kim is trying to get back to half guard. Kim is trying to control Kenzie's posture but Kenzie avoids it. Kenzie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kim, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kenzie working away. Kim managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kenzie.
Kenzie cracks Kim with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kim is trying to get back to half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kenzie keeps the fight on the outside. Kim will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kim fails with the takedown and Kenzie counters by moving into the clinch. Kim taking a breather. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trip Kenzie dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kim shoots in for a double leg but Kenzie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kim tries to clinch there but Kenzie circles away.

Kenzie tries to avoid it but Kim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenzie to the ground. Kenzie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kenzie is fending him off so far but Kim persists. Nope, Kenzie circles away and we're back to standing. Kenzie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kim shoots and misses and Kenzie counters by moving into the clinch. Kim goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kenzie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kim uses from the top position. Kenzie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kenzie is working an open guard so Kim takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kim shoots in but no luck this time. Kenzie misses with a body shot.

and Kenzie counters with a leg kick. Kenzie closes the distance looking to clinch and Kim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kim fails with the takedown. Kenzie shoots in and bounces Kim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kenzie tries to stand but Kim is controlling from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trip Kenzie dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Kim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kenzie as he jumps to the side. Kim stalks Kenzie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kenzie's face. Kenzie staggers backwards, shaken. Kim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kenzie fails with a takedown attempt. Kenzie takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kenzie but Kenzie pushes him off and we're back to square one. Trip Kenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Kim. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kenzie. Kim fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kim. Kenzie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kim! Kenzie tries to control but Kim wriggling away. Kenzie looking to finish with strikes here!
Kim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kenzie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenzie thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Kenzie looking to secure an arm triangle but Kim defends it well. Kenzie throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Kim is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kenzie lands a big elbow. Kenzie wants to control the pace but Kim is squirming around nicely. Kenzie sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kim wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kenzie.
