Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between To Hak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flare has chosen Also Sprach Zarathustra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rick Flare has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

30 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Flare! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Hak. Beautiful body shot. A left and a right from Hak both land. Nice combination. Hak lands a body shot.
Flare on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hak pushes Flare up against the cage in a clinch. Flare swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hak lands a right hand that snaps the head of Flare backwards. Hak blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Flare is rocked! Flare prevents a body shot from Hak. I was talking to Hak's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hak scores with a shot to the side of Flare's head. Flare takes a shot to the head. Flare drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hak gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hak lands an uppercut. Hak scores with a nice hook to the head. Hak lands with a short head shot on the inside. Flare is still on wobbly legs! Can Hak finish him? Hak prevents a takedown attempt there.
Flare seems to have recovered his senses. To Hak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Flare. Hak lands with a light punch inside. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flare takes a shot to the head. Hak lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Flare backwards. Hak creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Flare with a big uppercut! Flare tries to clinch up but Hak pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Flare to the mat! Flare covers up and Hak unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). To Hak! Our winner, To Hak, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
