Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Palony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palony feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Palony landing with the ground and pound.
Palony has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Palony's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Fox is trying to control the position but Palony postures up.
Fox wants to get back to his feet but Palony is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Palony postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fox is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palony stays in close to Fox's body and controls the position.
Palony would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Fox is looking for a triangle but Palony pushes his legs off easily.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Palony looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Palony closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fox did well to prevent Palony getting side control.
Palony scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Palony winds up and cracks Fox with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palony tries to pass to full mount but Fox defends it.
Palony lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Palony works his way into full mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Palony cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Palony looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Palony lands a couple of good shots and Fox has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee is taking a good look at Fox as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Palony!
Palony has good solid back control here.
Palony has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Fox! Can he survive? No! He's out! Palony gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
