Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Alvisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvisi comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Live Wire. Shinoki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: wadiako. Naya Shinoki is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

22 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naya Shinoki ! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shinoki instigates a clinch. Shinoki avoiding damage.
Shinoki using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Alvisi has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Shinoki dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Alvisi goes for a takedown attempt but Shinoki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alvisi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Shinoki closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shinoki stops a takedown attempt from Alvisi.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Naya Shinoki . Alvisi looks for a takedown but Shinoki sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Alvisi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shinoki moves in looking to clinch but Alvisi pushes him off. Alvisi attempts a counter takedown but Shinoki avoids it well and moves away. Shinoki tries to clinch up but Alvisi circles away and keeps his distance. Alvisi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Shinoki gets a clinch. Shinoki tries to land knees in the clinch but Alvisi avoids the damage to the body. Shinoki will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Alvisi up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvisi has Shinoki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shinoki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Alvisi blocks an elbow strike. Shinoki 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shinoki missing with knees to the body.

Alvisi prevents a body shot from Shinoki . Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Naya Shinoki . Shinoki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alvisi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Alvisi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Naya Shinoki dominated that round. That's time! Alvisi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Shinoki pushes Alvisi up against the cage in a clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Shinoki .
Shinoki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shinoki tries to clinch up but Alvisi circles away and keeps his distance. Shinoki tries to clinch but Alvisi moves out of range. Shinoki gets in close and instigates a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shinoki manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvisi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shinoki 's guard. Alvisi passes Shinoki 's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Alvisi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinoki is looking to get back to is feet but Alvisi passes into side control.
Alvisi passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Shinoki ! Alvisi is trying to take his opponent's back.
Alvisi forces the positional change into back control. Alvisi has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Shinoki is defending well but eventually Alvisi manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Shinoki has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Scott Alvisi! A relieved looking Scott Alvisi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Naya Shinoki spoke after the fight, saying ' Didn't go my way I will come back stronger Congrats to my opponent an best of luck in the future thanks you all for the support'.
