Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rab Rehab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spike Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rehab kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is saturday nights alright for fighting. Gomes has chosen Johnny Cash - Hurt as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rehab counters with a slapping leg kick.
Gomes tries for a takedown but Rehab circles away easily
and Rehab counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gomes with a poor takedown
and Rehab counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rab Rehab has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spike Gomes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

An inside leg kick lands from Rehab.
Gomes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rehab sprawls well. Rehab wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomes gets slowly back to his feet.

Gomes shoots in looking for a takedown. Rehab tries to sprawl out of it but Gomes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rehab manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As Gomes backs away, Rehab returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Gomes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Rehab counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gomes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rehab. Rehab obviously looking to wear him down.

and Rehab makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Rehab closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Gomes! Rehab dives in looking to finish! Gomes is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
