Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Christ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emil Yanenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emil Yanenko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emil Yanenko!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Christ changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yanenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Christ thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Christ has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Yanenko working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
