Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lashley comes to the cage accompanied by Hustlin. Hernandez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Danza kuduro. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lashley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hernandez on his heels. He'll look to pass Hernandez's guard now, I'm sure.
Hernandez trying to keep a closed guard but Lashley is proving a slippery customer.
Lashley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lashley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hernandez's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lashley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hernandez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lashley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hernandez is pulling down on Lashley's head. It's preventing any offense from Lashley, at least for the moment.

Hernandez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lashley defends it easily.

Hernandez has his foot on Lashley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lashley works his way back into a safe position though.

Lashley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hernandez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lashley has managed to get both his arms back between Hernandez's legs - danger averted.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Lashley scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Hernandez is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lashley can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
