The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fumado shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffith as he jumps to the side.

Fumado takes the fight into the clinch.
Griffith lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fumado will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Griffith up against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Griffith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A frustrated look appears on Griffith's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Griffith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fumado has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffith has managed to get both his arms back between Fumado's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Griffith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Griffith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fumado is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Griffith is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fumado has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fumado is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Griffith asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Fumado bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
