Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by Smashing pumpkins - Disarm. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Thompson cracks Patrick on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Patrick falls backwards against the cage. Thompson follows up with more strikes that drop Patrick to his knees. Thompson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Patrick! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Mitchel Thompson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
