The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Owens.
Russell slips a jab from Owens.
Owens closes the distance and clinches up with Russell, looking for a takedown. Owens pushes Russell against the cage but Russell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Owens fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Russell checks it well.
Russell throws a head kick that half lands.
Owens tries for a takedown but Russell circles away easily
and Russell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Russell lands with a kick to the temple. Owens shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Owens on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Owens dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Russell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Owens swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice straight punches there by Russell. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Russell.
