Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jinpachi Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rorouni kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around kenshin's waist but kenshin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Watanabe off to one side.
Nice sprawl there from kenshin as Watanabe shoots in.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Watanabe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Watanabe drops back looking for a leg! kenshin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and kenshin manages to kick Watanabe off! Watanabe jumps back into kenshin's guard.
Watanabe chips away with some ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Watanabe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. kenshin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

kenshin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Watanabe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! kenshin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Watanabe, into his guard.

Watanabe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but kenshin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

kenshin pulls Watanabe in close to his closed guard and prevents Watanabe from doing any damage or advancing position.

Watanabe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and kenshin dives on top into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Watanabe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Watanabe is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! kenshin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! kenshin has escaped and now he's on top!

Watanabe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. kenshin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Watanabe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take kenshin's back instead.
