Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koni Pro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koni Pro acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Koni Pro!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Pro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As Pro looks to move away, Turner throws a big counter combo bu Pro just gets out of the way.
Pro fails with the takedown.

Turner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Turner showed some decent athleticism there.

Turner is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Pro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Turner pulls his head out easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pro tries to roll over but Turner keeps him under control.

Pro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Turner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pro keeps working.

Turner seems to be looking for submissions.

Pro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Turner sprawls well. Turner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pro gets slowly back to his feet.

Turner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pro to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Turner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Turner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pro throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Turner escapes and throws Pro's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Turner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Pro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pro is working for a guillotine from mount but Turner frees his head quite easily.
Pro throws some wild stikes that Turner manages to avoid easily.

Pro is stalling here. Turner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pro seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Turner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Turner is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pro sees it coming and defends easily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pro goes for a double leg but Turner avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Turner continues to drive forward.
Pro shoots for a double leg takedown but Turner sprawls well. He's pushed Pro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Koni Pro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Turner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pro's back!

Well Turner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
