Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kieran Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kieran Stewart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Liddell! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Liddell throws a series of punches but Stewart moves out of range. Stewart throws a jab when Liddell was well out of range. Stewart throws a chopping leg kick but Liddell manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Liddell swats away the attempt to clinch by Stewart. Liddell avoids the head kick by Stewart.
Liddell throws the kick towards the body but Stewart avoids it. Liddell misses with the combination.
Liddell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stewart. Stewart misses with a takedown attempt and Liddell counters with a straight right hand. Liddell shoots in for a takedown but Stewart shows good takedown defense. Liddell slips a jab and a cross from Stewart.
Kieran Stewart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stewart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stewart tries to clinch up but Liddell circles away and keeps his distance. Stewart shoots for a takedown but Liddell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kieran Stewart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stewart closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Liddell is not content to let Stewart control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Liddell. Stewart has a takedown stuffed. Liddell lands a nice looking body kick. Liddell misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stewart tries to control but Liddell wriggling away. Liddell is trying to reverse the position but instead Stewart has taken his back - oops! Stewart has Liddell flattened out and is raining down punches. Stewart is looking to control Liddell but Liddell is wriggling around and keeping busy. Stewart looking to break Liddell's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Liddell remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Stewart will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kieran Stewart dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Liddell shoots in but Stewart avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stewart shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddell pinned against the cage. Liddell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stewart fails to land the takedown. Liddell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stewart fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Liddell, pushing him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stewart landing knees to the head.

Stewart shoots in and drives through. Liddell sprawls well. Liddell lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Liddell. Liddell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stewart tries to avoid it but Liddell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stewart to the ground. Stewart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Liddell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stewart has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stewart is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Liddell pulls him back up using the underhooks. Liddell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stewart is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Liddell manages to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell wants to get back to his feet but Stewart is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stewart drops back looking for a leg! Liddell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liddell manages to kick Stewart off! Stewart jumps back into Liddell's guard. Stewart is looking to work some ground and pound but Liddell has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stewart wants to pass the guard but Liddell is keeping the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stewart throws a left and a right that both miss
and Liddell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fight stays on the outside here - Stewart looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. No joy there for Liddell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stewart throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Liddell. Stewart shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side. Stewart avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Stewart will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Stewart showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Liddell.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kieran Stewart will probably get the nod. That's time! Stewart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Stewart looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Liddell is looking to escape. Stewart stalling. Stewart passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Liddell! Stewart pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart controlling the pace for now. Stewart misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stewart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stewart looking to finish with strikes here!
Stewart is landing with some decent strikes but Liddell is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Stewart won't let Liddell get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Stewart tries for a kimura but Liddell is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Liddell can do anything to dispel that myth. Stewart throws a strike aimed at the side of Liddell's head but Liddell avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Liddell is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Stewart yanks on the arm and Liddell is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Stewart.
